November is here and although the year’s not over yet (snow hasn’t even arrived yet!), I’m already reflecting back on what a great year 2010 has been and looking forward to what’s in store for 2011.

First off I want to thank everyone who has supported me in my photography endeavours, allowing me to make my passion for photography a full-time reality for the third year in a row. I couldn’t do it without all my wonderful clients, friends, family, students and distant admirers. (yes, even those of you who stalk my blog from a distance!)

Wedding season 2010 is almost over, and I’m already looking forward to my 2011 weddings! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some awesome couples in the past few months to discuss their plans for their upcoming weddings, and I’m getting more and more excited about starting wedding season again! Weekends are booking fast in 2011, but do not fret: I still have some Friday & Saturday openings.

The year is coming to a close, but I have a few updates and announcements to make for 2011. First of all, a CONTEST. I’m giving away a free photo session! ….and I’m even including the full-res images on disc. Details to come soon… you won’t want to miss it!

And of course, Christmas is just around the corner, so keep in mind that I still offer photo gift certificates for the people on your lists that are impossible to shop for. Yes – a photo shoot – it’s a unique gift idea! Not only that, but I’m offering a discount portrait package for all gift certificates ordered by November 30th. $150 will get you a 1-hour shoot and a basic print package (two 8×10 & five 5×7 prints). With no expiry date, you could order a gift certificate for yourself, and save it for a warm summer day next year! ….e-mail orders to photo@egabrielle.com

I’m also excited to announce a couple upcoming photographic art exhibits that I’m putting on in 2011. The first is a solo exhibit at the Collège Universitaire de St-Boniface for the month of March. I’ll have about a dozen framed photos on display. Can’t wait! My next exhibit will be a group show with my art collective, f/action. We’ll have a large photo exhibit adorning the gallery walls of the Cre8ery. Opening reception will be in early April. I’ll keep you posted and send you an invitation!

I hope you guys are all enjoying a wonderful fall season – don’t forget to take in the beautiful sun before the days get too short!

Cheers,

-Gabrielle
