One Week Old Johnny: At-Home Newborn Photography

The first weeks of having a newborn can feel like an overwhelming blur – from an abundance of fatigue, but also from an overflowing sense of love. When I come to your home, my sole focus is to capture the beauty of that new relationship, and making sure to create images that honour the best of this dizzying, exciting and exhausting time.

When I walked into their home I instantly felt the warmth and sheer joy of two parents completely over the moon with love for their new baby. I swaddled Johnny for a few posed photos in a basket, but the majority of the time was him in his mom and dad’s arms. He even gave us a few sleep smiles!

I love focusing on naturally posed (and unposed) photos, capturing the real moments of connection and bonding in those first few days at home. Here are some highlights from our two hours together.

If you’re thinking of booking an at-home session for your newborn photos, contact me a few months early to allow space in my schedule and then once baby is born, send me a message and we’ll set a date and time for the photo session.

Lifestyle Maternity & Family Portraits at Home

I had a lovely session at Ashley and Jeremy’s house for their maternity portraits, as they await the arrival of their second child. I’ve had the joy of taking their photos since the very beginning of their love story, and it was especially heart-warming seeing all their photos printed and framed on their walls from the previous years.

I love at-home sessions, they are so relaxed and they allow real life to be portrayed in such an effortless way. It was also extra fun to include their cute pup Roxie in some of the shots!

Here are some highlights from my hour with them this morning.
