Late last year I had the lovely opportunity to connect with Alix Loiselle, of French Kiss cook, as he was looking to get some one-on-one photography mentoring for his food blog. After learning more about his blog and online projects, we planned for a custom photography workshop at his home so he could level up his food photography skills.
I showed him the best settings to use on his camera, some lighting techniques for both window light and studio light settings, how to create stronger compositions and also how to use Lightroom Mobile to make his photos stand out more.
It was inspiring to see his kitchen set up and fun to work with his photography set ups he already had at home. Here are a few photos I took during the teaching workshop, including BTS shots and comparison images showing the difference between window light and studio light.
