When Behie approached me to take their headshots, we came up with a shoot plan that would cover two locations in under 90 minutes to get different background options for their photos.
Our first location was in downtown Winnipeg at Millennium Library Park. This location has greenery, architecture and water – perfect for capturing a variety of photos in one efficient stop.
We finished the session in their office where I set up my mobile headshot photo studio: a simple white backdrop with studio lights.
What a beautiful evening it was for photos for Charmaine Toews‘s lovely family! It was so delightful meeting them all and quite the honour to be asked by a talented photographer to take her family photos! They were super fun to hang out with and it was a wonderful experience capturing these memories for them. We met up at Upper Fort Garry in downtown Winnipeg and had fun getting to know each other, talking photography (!) and exploring the park to get these photos for them. They are super easy going, incredibly nice people and really fun to spend an hour with.
Yesterday I had the chance to meet up with Emily & Lance for their engagement session in Winnipeg. We started with some urban portraits and finished up at one of my favourite places to catch that big open sky at sunset. Wally, their cute dog, tagged along and was so fun to photograph! We also got to see some huge pelicans hanging out in the evening sun and climbed a big hill to watch the sun dip below the horizon. These two have a comfortable and effortless love and capturing these images for them brought me great joy. I cannot wait for their PineRidge Hollow wedding later this summer!
