Having a baby and raising small kids during a pandemic is no small feat. Seeing moms get through these incredibly hard but rich experiences is so beautiful and powerful to see. The love that is shared, the connections that are made – all in the context of a growing family – is so wonderful to witness. The days of having a newborn bring so many indescribable feelings, so to be able to honour it through photography is something I adore so much.
And how cute is Alessia?! 10 days old and so showered with a depth of love that goes beyond words. I had so much fun at the studio capturing these dear moments and to see the two older siblings show so much affection for their new little sister. Here is a preview of our time together!
My Spring mini photo sessions for kids are back! While brainstorming a look for this year’s session, bright colours, artwork and a playful mood came to mind. I shared my thoughts with my set stylist, Emily Janzen, and as always, she ran with my ideas and created a beautiful look! Below are the details on the session as well as the mood board she created for me to give you a glimpse of what’s in store for your kiddos when they come to the studio to have their photos taken.
Winnipeg got its first big snowfall of the year today, and so did my mini sessions indoors! But lucky for these kids, we were warm and cozy inside the studio, for the third round of styled mini photo sessions this year. This time, we’re capping off the year with the cutest, coziest winter scenes to get in the mood for the Christmas holidays! Emily Janzen of Feast & Festivities did a fantastic job at styling both scenes and providing fun props for the kids to enjoy. I think the hit today was the fake snow and the marshmallows. These mini sessions are always so much fun!
If you’d like to take part in the next styled mini sessions, make sure to follow me on Facebook and Instagram – that’s where I post the latest news and updates. These mini sessions are such a hit, and we plan on doing another 2 or 3 sessions in 2018 again. See you then!
