Whenever taking corporate headshots, getting a mix of studio portraits and environmental headshots is a great way to add a dynamic and captivating look to your final collection of images. When this group approached me about doing their headshots this summer, we planned the session to include a few in-office headshots with studio lights and a solid white backdrop, but also going outside in the Exchange District to capture more of an urban and textured look to their group shots. Here are the results:
Jen and Wayne just got engaged and already they’ve made lots of great plans for the months to come – a beautiful and intimate wedding celebration this winter, and then just a couple of weeks ago, a fun urban engagement session in the heart of Winnipeg’s Exchange District. Having already met them a year ago at Wayne’s brother’s wedding, it was fun to re-connect and give them their turn at being in front of the camera. It didn’t take long to break the ice with these two, and as much as they say that they’re not super comfortable in front of the camera (like me!), it was super easy to get them to open up and have fun together without thinking too much about the camera in their face. We explored the back streets of the Exchange and took lots of shots. They are such an easy-going and lovely couple – it was a pleasure spending the evening with them and it got me all the more excited to photograph their wedding! Can’t wait!
