This past weekend I was delighted to host another round of Spring Mini Photo Sessions here in Winnipeg, and what a gorgeous evening it was! All the families, kiddos and dogs were super fun to work with and I had a blast taking all these photos. There were a LOT of frames to cull through, but I narrowed it down to a few for the sneak peek, featured here, and I can’t wait to share more with all the families! Thanks everyone for making this mini session so successful, despite our social distancing restrictions! You have made it all so beautiful and lovely to be back at work. Enjoy!
My Spring mini photo sessions for kids are back! While brainstorming a look for this year’s session, bright colours, artwork and a playful mood came to mind. I shared my thoughts with my set stylist, Emily Janzen, and as always, she ran with my ideas and created a beautiful look! Below are the details on the session as well as the mood board she created for me to give you a glimpse of what’s in store for your kiddos when they come to the studio to have their photos taken.
This past Spring our styled mini sessions for kids was once again a huge success and a ton of fun thanks to ALL these adorable kiddos and all the hard work that was put into designing the set! The kids all had so much fun watering the plants, playing hopscotch, riding a tricycle, playing with the skate board and of course running around in all those colourful balloons. They also took a much-deserved break with lemonade and cookies to relax after all that hard work of playing.
It was a great day of back-to-back photo sessions and by the end, I was thoroughly physically exhausted but my heart was so full! There were some familiar faces that I had the pleasure of seeing again… and I also had the privilege of meeting new little faces and getting to know them. Being new to photo shoots or not, it’s easy for these kids to forget they’re being photographed at all, and the results show all of that candid, free-for-all playtime. We love it!
All this would not be possible without the hard work & dedication of Emily Janzen of Feast & Festivities for designing the set and for setting up in between each session to make sure everything looked good. And she did this all while super pregnant – she’s the best! We also want to thank the following vendors for contributing to the scene:
Summertime is all about ice cream cones, bubbles, smelling fresh flowers and running in the grass bare foot! Winnipeg’s been experiencing such a beautiful summer so I decided it would be a great idea to put together another edition of my styled mini photo sessions for kids, this time outdoors to capture all of that summery goodness we all love! I had the ever amazing Emily of Feast & Festivities style the set and her work reflected exactly the vision I had in mind. She has a way of setting up a scene that promotes such fun & candid moments of kids at play. It was so fun taking all these photos, and as always, the time flies by so fast! But not before thousands of frames of photos were shot on both my cameras. I pulled out a few highlights from last night’s shoot to showcase below. Soon the families will get access to their private proofing galleries to view their images and make their selections. Can’t wait to share more!
Back in March I hosted another round of kids mini sessions, and as always, I got such a great bunch of CUTE kids! The styling by Danielle of Mûr Lifestyle and the florals & garland by Tatiana of Oak & Lily just finished the scene perfectly, and every kid had so much fun playing and reading books. What a delight it is to watch kids at play – each and everyone of them brought such unique personalities and playfulness. Thank you to all who came down, Danielle and I are already talking about planning our next one. Stay tuned for details later this year!
