After a long, cold start to spring, Winnipeg finally burst into colour, warmth and sunlight. Just in time for my annual spring mini photo sessions!
This year I picked a new location for my mini sessions after scouting out several spots at St. Vital Park. I found a beautiful spot near a young tree and lots of depth in the background towards the west. As the evening went on, the sun got lower and even more glowy. I couldn’t have asked for better weather!
I had a few returning clients along with a few new families at my minis this year. It’s always so fun catching up with some of my regulars and just as fun meeting new ones. I had a blast and I could NOT wait for my photos to transfer to my computer so I could start picking out my favourites for this sneak peek.

My most popular time of year for family photos is coming up next month, the fall season in Winnipeg! The weather is not as hot and muggy, the sun sets earlier for beautiful golden light at a family-friendly time of day and the the colours in the trees are starting to change.
My mini sessions are happening on Saturday September 6th – it’s perfect for families who want a quick and fun way of updating their photos without a long session or having to purchase a large photo package.

This past weekend I was delighted to host another round of Spring Mini Photo Sessions here in Winnipeg, and what a gorgeous evening it was! All the families, kiddos and dogs were super fun to work with and I had a blast taking all these photos. There were a LOT of frames to cull through, but I narrowed it down to a few for the sneak peek, featured here, and I can’t wait to share more with all the families! My Spring mini photo sessions for kids are back! While brainstorming a look for this year’s session, bright colours, artwork and a playful mood came to mind. I shared my thoughts with my set stylist, Emily Janzen, and as always, she ran with my ideas and created a beautiful look! Below are the details on the session as well as the mood board she created for me to give you a glimpse of what’s in store for your kiddos when they come to the studio to have their photos taken.
