My photo art collective, f/action, is gearing up for a much-anticipated exhibit at Winnipeg’s Cre8ery Gallery from June 3 – 8, 2010. This project, together with Ailsa Dyson, Dallas Ludwick, Duncan McNairnay and myself, has been in the works for well over a year, and we can ‘t wait for the opening night in less than 3 months. The four of us will be each presenting our own photo series based on the popular “Made in China” phrase. I’m in the editing/prepping for printing phase of my project, and I’ve included a sneak peak at my series below. Mark your calendars: the opening is on June 3!

Dean Harder is a local actor, comedian and improv artist who thinks outside the box and commits lots of enthusiasm and energy to every project he takes on. Getting some headshots done was no exception, and that’s why I love working with this guy. I had a great time taking these photos and even more excited when Dean was extremely happy with the results (it’s fun when your subject is as enthusiastic, if not more, about your final images!)

Meet la famille Clément – a fun bunch of people with a great sense of humour! These shots were taken a couple months ago (oops, a little behind in my blogging!) This was my first shoot in my new studio, and it was a great way to break in the new space and take some fun family photos. I love doing family photos – it’s a great way to get everyone together, have some laughs, and capture some great expressions.
