Just when Chelsea was about to give birth to her third child, a pandemic hit the world and photographers in Winnipeg, including me, had to shut down temporarily. This meant she missed her newborn photo session for her littlest one, Nicholas. Although it was devastating to miss that milestone in photos, we were able to reschedule to a family portrait session a couple of months later. The 3 month baby stage is also just as cute in its own way, and I was so happy to be able to meet up with this sweet family that I have known for years. From their engagement photos, to their wedding, to multiple newborn and family photo shoots since, it’s always a pleasure seeing them and taking photos for their lovely family. I always enjoy my time with their kids, and last night was no exception! Félicitations Chelsea et Justin, Nicholas est adorable!!

Breean and Matt just welcomed their first baby into their beautiful home and what a privilege it was to meet her and to photograph all her cuteness! Being only a week old, she was still so tiny and irresistibly cute, and she gave us so many adorable sleep smiles. Charley definitely lights up their world and seeing how beautiful she fits into this family, I had nothing but joy and excitement for the amazing journey they have just begun together. Here’s a little sneak peek at their newborn session in their home last week!

Celebrating a 1 year birthday is a huge milestone and always such a fun reason for a photo shoot! Desmond and his parents met me at Assiniboine Park in mid-October for this session, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. Winnipeg has experienced a mild Autumn and we took full advantage of it! With so many bright colours and a relatively “warm” afternoon, there was nothing but fun and laughter with these three. Desmond finished the session with a cupcake and some curious feathered onlookers decided to join in!

I absolutely love this stage – babies at 6 months of age! Newborn photos and 1 year baby photos are big milestones, but there’s the 6 month mark that’s also such a great time to capture! Especially if your baby is a winter baby and their birthday photos happen to fall on a cold & dreary month, taking half-year photos is a great way to capture their cuteness in a warm & summery setting. Little Odette was all smiles at her session – enjoying cuddles from her parents, eating dandelions and playing in the park. Back in March I hosted another round of kids mini sessions, and as always, I got such a great bunch of CUTE kids! The styling by Danielle of Mûr Lifestyle and the florals & garland by Tatiana of Oak & Lily just finished the scene perfectly, and every kid had so much fun playing and reading books. What a delight it is to watch kids at play – each and everyone of them brought such unique personalities and playfulness. Thank you to all who came down, Danielle and I are already talking about planning our next one. Stay tuned for details later this year!
