Aug 30, 2018 | Family, Kids
I met up with this fun bunch of people in the early evening glow of Birds Hill Park to take their family photos, and they were all such champs! After only 35 minutes of shooting, we pretty much had gotten a complete collection of fantastic family photos for them! But we kept shooting for the full hour any way and got even more fun photos. These kids have no shortage of ideas for poses & shots so it was fun to follow them along and capture their lovely faces as well as their own unique set ups. 🙂 We also got some “school photos” of each kid. Instead of ordering their photos from school, these guys opt for more natural portraits of their kids, and then print them on small 2×3 prints to give out. What a great idea – nothing like the great outdoors and a natural smile to replace those traditional school photos with fake backgrounds! Here’s a preview of our time at Birds Hill Park yesterday – so happy to see that bright golden sun again after several hazy, dry days…

Aug 31, 2017 | Maternity
I met up with this crew of three + 1 at the park for some fun family portraits as they journey closer to their new phase of family life, with 2 little boys! With the sunset glow and this family’s love abounding, we got tons of fun & playful photos, candid shots and of course some of the cute belly bump. Having photographed their wedding and previous maternity & newborn sessions, I’m looking all the more forward to the next maternity session at home, only a few weeks away. Here’s a preview from our session:

Renelle and Miguel are celebrating their 10 year wedding anniversary this summer so they decided to gift themselves a family photo session to commemorate the big milestone. It was such a beautiful morning at King’s Park, and such a pleasure to meet them all! I was happy to be able to hang out with these guys and speak French together, especially knowing that their kids don’t even speak any English yet. They were so cute and totally reminded me of my own kids. Such cuties!
The kids had fun running throughout the park, chasing frogs, climbing trees and smelling the flowers. Apparently after the session, the kids told their parents that the shoot was fun and “it’s like playing, but we’re taking photos!”. Yes, exactly that! Even for me! 🙂 Here’s a preview from the hour we spent together:

Jodi is a good friend of mine who also happens to be a talented photographer who has been taking my family’s photos for years now, as I have been for them. This year we decided to have fun with our photo session swap, and instead of doing it on separate days, we scheduled them both for the same evening. We drove up to Grand Beach together with our husbands and kiddos to take turns photographing each other’s families. It was a hot summer evening, the weather forecast was thankfully wrong (no hail, thundershowers or tornado in sight, as was forecasted earlier that day!) and we had a blast!
Watching Jodi’s kids grow up has been such a treat for me – they are the cutest and always so fun to run around with for photos. The evening ended off with all 5 of our kids running into the lake, swimming in their clothes, and having fun until sun down. Such good memories were created! Here’s a preview of Jodi’s family photos from our lovely evening out at the beach.

Apr 15, 2017 | Baby, Family, Newborn
Almost 7 years ago I had the honour of being Kristin and Jonathan’s wedding photographer, and fast-forward to today, they are a full and happy family with 3 adorable kiddos! I had fun taking their photos this morning and celebrating their newest addition: 10-day-old Jordan. His older brother and sister had so many cuddles and kisses to shower him with and the sibling shots we got are just so priceless. Here is a preview from our newborn family portrait session:
