When Candace and Craig of Studio D asked me to take their family photos, I immediately said YES knowing how incredibly cute their baby is! (not to mention great-looking parents to compliment the little munchkin) I knew this was going to be a great shoot…
Candace shared a little secret location with me – and let me tell you – it was every bit amazing as she said it would be, and then some… it was a photographer’s paradise! After several days of postponing the shoot due to rain, we were blessed with a beautiful Fall day: golden sun, warm breeze and newly-turned yellow leaves in the trees. Couldn’t have been more picture perfect!
Here are a few of my favourites. Thanks again C&C! I had a fun time shooting your family photos!

Need a new headshot? At my photography studio you’ll find beautiful natural window light as well as an array of studio lighting & backdrops. I’ve spent a lot of time in there, creating portraits for Winnipeg actors, professionals, promo pieces and of course for anyone who needs to update their career resume. A great headshot goes a long way in making a mark in your field, and I love being a part of the process!

Being a francophone photographer, I have a soft spot for any sort of photo shoot that takes me back to my home community of St. Boniface. A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing a live theatre performance at the St. Boniface Cathedral, as well as a few promo shots of the actors. If you haven’t been to one of these outdoor theatre performances, you must check it out next year! Not only are you partaking in some live theatre, but you’re learning a bit more about St. Boniface’s rich history and culture as you follow the actors through the graveyard on the front grounds of the beautiful St. Boniface Cathedral. Check out Théâtre dan le cimetière at www.theatredanslecimetiere.com.

Oooooh, love is in the air! I finally met Valérie and Mario after almost a year of only knowing each other by phone and e-mail. They first contacted me about their wedding last year, and made plans for an engagement session this summer. It was great to finally meet them, and even more awesome to find out that Mario’s family is friends with my sister’s in-laws’ in-laws all the way in Saskatchewan! (did I confuse you yet?) The franco-manitoban/saskatchewan connection is alive and well!
We broke up the session by spending half the time in the cobblestone charm of Winnipeg’s Exchange District to get an urban look, then we had an outfit change and headed over to Waterfront Drive to get some more greenery photos. All in all, it was a fun, relaxed day with a beautiful couple completely enamored by each other. Now I can’t wait to photograph their wedding next summer! Félicitations vous deux !
