Emily & Lance were surrounded by family, friends and a ton of love when they tied the knot at PineRidge Hollow last August. It was a beautifully sunny day and every detail & thought put into the wedding came together absolutely perfectly! Seeing how these two are so happy together was really heart-warming, and also seeing the closeness & fun they have with their friends was an added dynamic to their personalized day. I never get tired of being at PineRidge Hollow for weddings, such a gorgeous setting, plus they have the cutest little pig that took a stroll through the yard during the cocktail hour! (now that’s a fun wedding crasher!)
Here’s a preview from their day, starting with getting ready photos in the city, followed by wedding party photos in Birds Hill Park, a lovely ceremony inside PineRidge Hollow’s yard and a LIVELY evening reception inside the tent. That was a good day! Here’s a preview:

Sarah and I first became friends in photography school several years ago, and since that time, our families have become good friends, bonding over our love of the arts and music & all things kid-related. It’s been such a joy to see her family grow into the beautiful & energetic crew that they are today! There is so much love, talent and adventure in their family, and it’s always so much fun taking their family photos.
This year, the vision for their session was to be captured in Birds Hill Park in the middle of the Autumn season. Although juggling their family’s schedule can be a bit challenging at times, we finally found time to meet up at the park for what was probably the best day of the season! It was almost 20 degrees and the sun was a perfect glow and the colours in the trees were at a perfect stage. The kiddos gave me some adorable smiles and also let loose with all their energy and antics – I loved it!

Last year I drove out to Brandon for Kylie and Cam’s engagement photos, and it ended up being such a fun session to photograph! Their chemistry and zest for life comes through in all their interactions and the true love that they share was clearly evident throughout the entire time. Fast-forward to this year, and their wedding in June encapsulated all of that plus so much more! The love they share was celebrated with such earnestness by all the friends and family that were present at their ceremony and reception. Seeing how nervous Kylie was before the first look and how all her anxiety just melted away as soon as she saw Cam – priceless! Their wedding party was a ton of fun and together the entire day was such a pleasure to witness and to document. Kylie & Cam – you guys are true gems, I’m so happy to have celebrated with you and captured all these memories. Congratulations!
(and check out the wind we had on that day – it was the strongest I had ever experienced at a wedding!)

In June of last year, I had the immense pleasure of being present at Jen & Devin’s wedding to photograph the day.
I had met them a year earlier and had had such a great time taking their engagement photos at the lake that I could not wait to be their wedding photographer. The day was truly memorable and heart-warming, and also full of personality and fun! It’s hard to sum up in words, but Jen and Devin put together a few of their thoughts from their day to share:
“Our experience with Gabrielle and Duncan was so relaxing and comfortable. They were always moving and willing to get different and candid shots. Their personalities kept everyone at ease and made being in front of the camera a blast! They helped keep things moving in a very hectic day. Their amazing work resulted in the most cherished photos in our home. They are absolutely stunning!”
Here’s a look at their day in photos, including more of their thoughts and memories from their day:

“The most memorable part of our day was definitely our ceremony. The rain held off long enough to allow us to focus on each other and experience the moment that was 8 years in the making. It was an incredible moment to have all of our loved ones there in one place. But we just can’t believe it rained 10 minutes after the ceremony had finished!”

“The best surprise of the day was how much love there was in one place. The love and energy in the air was palpable, and we felt truly blessed to have had so many people there who wholeheartedly support and care about us. It was a very humbling feeling.”

“It’s impossible to pick just one favourite photo! But I think if we reeeeeally had to choose, we’d choose the one of us walking arm in arm, smiling the widest smiles during our one on one session in birds hill. Our smiles are the most genuine and relaxed. They really captured our love and excitement about the day. ”

“Our intention in the day was simple: we wanted it to be us. We wanted it to be relaxed, fun, and rustic. We tried to make our guests feel at home and have fun being with one another. I think our lawn games, smores bonfire, and poutine late night snack did just that! Pineridge Hollow is such a beautiful venue that holds beauty on its own merit, so it’s grounds fit our rustic feel wonderfully.”

I first met Ahlea and Jason earlier this year to chat about their wedding, and I instantly found a connection with them. Such a warm, down-to-earth and lovely couple, I was absolutely thrilled to be their wedding photographer! In the weeks leading to their wedding, the weather got a little cooler and the leaves started changing colours, but their day at PineRidge Hollow was absolutely beautiful. Although it rained exactly during the time they had planned for their outdoor ceremony, it didn’t put a damper on the day. They quickly shifted things indoors, and we still had plenty of time before and after for wedding portraits outside at PineRidge Hollow and also inside Birds Hill Park. I’m such a big fan of this venue – I’ve been there for weddings in the Spring, Summer and Fall, and it never disappoints!
Ahlea and Jason radiate love, and it was such a delight being there to capture the big moments as well as the candid moments that added personality to their day. It was especially fun having their two dogs join us for some portraits! Surrounded by their closest family and friends, these two clearly enjoyed every moment of their day and I couldn’t have been more happy to celebrate with them. Congrats you two!
